Back in 1985, Nike commissioned famed sports photographer Chuck Kuhn to shoot a rising basketball star by the name of Michael Jordan. The two convened at a remote Oregon airstrip, where MJ emerged in black/royal Air Jordan 1s, instead of the expected black/red Chicago Bulls colorway. The resulting photoshoot produced an an iconic poster, dubbed the Flight Guy, and that moment is now the inspiration for the Flight Guy collection, featuring black/royal colorways of the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan XXXI. Check out detailed looks below, and expect the kicks to launch April 1st at select stores and nike.com.
