In honor of Breaking2, Nike's "moonshot" project to break the two-hour marathon barrier, NikeLab unveils the Zoom Fly SP. The model is based off an early prototype phase of Breaking2 footwear, featuring a translucent, stretch-woven upper that's lightweight and breathable, along with Lunarlon foam and an embedded full-length carbon-infused nylon plate for increases stiffness. There's also high abrasion rubber in the heel for added durability, and the 10mm offset minimizes Achilles strain, while the 33-mm stack height provides impact protection. Original design sketches on the sockliner and running-focused graphics on the tongue, upper and midsole, round out the details. The NikeLab Zoom Fly SP launches June 8th through Nike+, nike.com/nikelab and select retailers.
