Neill Blomkamp is rebounding from the disappointment of his last film, 2015's critically lambasted Chappie, with a new project that he's been teasing for months on social media. Under the Oats Studios banner, Blomkamp will be releasing a series of short films online for free. Released today, the new trailer for Vol. 1 succinctly promises films that deliver "experimental content" and "weird shit," with the end goal for the shorts to potentially spawn feature films -- much like how Blomkamp's breakthrough District 9 grew out of his short film Alive in Joburg.
