For Fall/Winter 2017, Stone Island delves into new textile research, highlighted by reworkings of fabrics and weaves from the brand's extensive archive. Contrasting elements make up a prevalent motif that runs throughout the collection, so shoppers can expect an interplay between matte/shiny, organic/man-made and flat/structured. There are also distinct categories from the assortment at large, including monochromatic "Ghost" pieces based on camouflage concepts finished with unique laminating processes; a "Frost Finish" treatment that make the surfaces of knits and outwear appear frosted; and Thermosensitive materials that change patterns and colors with variations in temperature.
