Through a new piece in Forbes, freelance tech journalist Gordon Kelly says he was able to obtain CAD files for the iPhone 8, and by working with case designer Nodus, he has confirmed the design for the upcoming handheld. His findings indicate that the device will lose the "chunky bezels" of previous iPhones, while the 5.8-inch display will feature a cutout at the top for the front facing camera and sensors. There will also be a new "Function Area" for notifications, as well as a vertically aligned shooter to replace the iPhone 7's horizontally aligned dual rear camera. The Lighting port is said to live on, the headphone jack is still banished, and the power button size is dramatically increased, suggesting the possible integration of Touch ID.
