On the heels of two short films starring Ronnie Fieg and Scottie Pippen, Kith is finally set to launch its first ever collaboration with Nike, dubbed the "Take Flight" collection. The assortment, influenced by Fieg's childhood appreciation for Scottie Pippen as an underappreciated NBA star, is split into two product stories that stem from the collaborative footwear. The first is centered around the Nike Maestro 2 High, Fieg's new interpretation of the original Maestro 2 silhouette, a model most often associated with Pippen during his early championship years with the Chicago Bulls. Though the tooling remains true to the original, the upper is heightened through an elevated inner-sock with added straps, while offset lacing and a medial-side tech zipper offer added functionality. The silhouette comes in an original purple colorway, alongside a new twist on the OG red edition. Accompanying apparel includes three sherpa-lined sideline coats with matching tearaway pants, three colorblocked flight suits, and assorted hoodies and tees.
The second story is focused on the Nike Pippen 1, rendered in a striking multi-animal print version as well as an updated take on the OG black model, with both featuring a lush build finished in pony hair. On the apparel side, expect three pullover nylon warm-ups adorned with an oversized Swoosh across the top and bottom, as well as three zip-up warm-ups inspired by the Pippen 1. Hoodies and tees round out the assortment.
The Kith x Nike Take Flight Collection will release in two deliveries. The Nike Maestro 2 High and matching apparel drops September 29th, followed by the Nike Pippen 1 and apparel on October 6th.
