Skepta Transforms the Rolls-Royce Phantom into a Rolling Recording Studio

Rolls-Royce celebrated its connection to contemporary music culture through a unique project in collaboration with Joseph Junior Adenuga, better known by his stage name Skepta. The London grime MC recorded a new track in the backseat of an eighth-generation Rolls Royce Phantom, as he was chauffeured along the banks of Lake Lucerne and through the mountains of Switzerland. He was able to achieve the feat thanks to the Phantom's all-new and proprietary aluminium spaceframe, combined with more than 130kg of sound insulation and two-layer 6mm glazing position. "It was like sitting in first class on a plane minus the noise," said Skepta. "Comfortable and silent, a perfect space to make music." Watch how it went down in the video below.
