Nike has revealed Kyrie Irving's latest signature shoe, the Nike Kyrie 4. Springing from the creative mind of designer Benjamin Nethongkome, the silhouette is predicated on Irving's desire for superior underfoot cushioning, as well as quickness on the corner. Both are achieved through a Cushlon midsole Zoom Air heel unit and a zig-zag flex groove on the outsole, which also feature enhanced traction and side-to-side response. The outsole wraps around the foot, accented with a fanged sidewall for added style. In terms of material choices and blocking, the design of the Kyrie 4 is influenced by Irving's interest in vintage Nike and Jordan silhouettes. It's seen in the forefoot built with a zonally engineered mesh, along with traditional materials like suede or leather that leads to the transition of the heel.
The "Confetti" colorway of the Nike Kyrie 4 launches today at House of Hoops locations in Boston, Cambridge, Harlem and Wayne, New Jersey, and tomorrow at Nike SNKRS and select retailers. The Black/White colorway follows on December 20th. Check out detailed looks of each colorway in the gallery below.
