Converse Rings in the Year of the Dog With the Lunar and Solar Pack

In honor of the 2018, the Year of the Dog, Converse is launching a collection inspired by the classic Chinese legend of the Tiangou Eclipse, in which a heavenly dog (Tiangou) whose attempts to feast on the moon and sun end up causing the eclipse of each. Reflecting the folklore, the collection is broken up into two different parts, the Lunar Pack and Solar Pack. The former is made up of two nubuck colorways of the One Star, each designed with color gradations representing the eclipse on the tongue top, heel stay and star logo. The latter features two suede colorways of the Chuck Taylor All Star High, each built with foxing tape printed with number and letter codes related to the exact details of the lunar eclipse. Along with accompanying apparel, the Converse Year of the Dog Collection hits stores on January 5.
