This is it, Jordan Brand's signature sneaker for the most dynamic athlete in the NBA, Russell Westbrook. Dubbed the Why Not Zer0.1 (and not, as previously believed, the Fly Next), the sleek silhouette is distinguished by a smooth, one-piece mesh vamp, good for both forefoot containment and stability over the sole unit, key features that promote Russ' explosive speed and agility. Underfoot, a compression-molded pylon foam piece is engineered for flight, while a full-length Zoom Air unit provides superior cushioning.

Westbrook worked with Jordan designers as well as Wilson Taylor, the Thunder's equipment manager, who relayed the point guard's feedback to the Jordan team following each wear test. As for the shoe's design, Russ made sure that his personal style shone through. "My favorite part of the design process is storytelling," he says. "Being able to tell my story through colorways and at different times during the season is a lot of fun."

Retailing for $125, the inaugural "2-Way" colorway of the Why Not Zer0.1 hits stores on January 15 . A limited "Mirror Image" colorway, featuring an upper plastered with images in the manner of a heavily postered room, drops on February 15. Westbrook debuted a PE version of the Mirror Image pair on the court during last night's game against the Lakers. Check out detailed looks at both colorways in the gallery below.
