Brian Woo, the acclaimed L.A.-based tattoo artist better known as Dr. Woo, has teamed up with Converse on a special-edition Chuck 70, a silhouette that the native Angeleno has worn throughout his life. His take on the high-top is centered around the story of the spider and the fly, with the hunter and hunted brought to life in exquisite detail on the minimalist Chuck 70 canvas, offered in white and black colorways. The prescription from the good doctor is to wear the kicks "'til they are destroyed," and as the spider embroidery gets worn down with wear, the imperfections allow the story to become your own. Dr. Woo has personally tattooed, signed and numbered an extremely limited number of the leather Chuck 70, which will retail for $1,095 exclusively at a private event tonight, January 17, at Maxfield in Los Angeles. The general release follows on January 20th at and select retailers.
