Last summer saw Converse entering into a partnership with Tyler, the Creator, who abandoned his Vans affiliation to reimagine the brand's iconic One Star. In 2018, Converse adds yet another SoCal rapper to its list of celebrity collaborators. This time around, it's the 24-year-old Long Beach native known as Vince Staples, who looks to his album Big Fish Theory as the overriding design inspiration behind his upcoming capsule collection with Converse. As a result, the goods -- including a Chuck 70 in both Ox and Hi variations, as well as an accompanying Converse Essentials Pullover Hoodie -- feature orange coloring as a nod to the goldfish on the album cover. Both pairs also feature an aquarium sockliner, a Big Fish Theory graphic on the outsole and “Vince Staples” embroidered on the medial collar. On the Hi, a "Big Fish" screen print in orange stands out against the black tongue. Finally, a "SEA" graphic, denoting Staples' signature brand and his successful Beats 1 podcast, is 3D printed onto the heels of both shoes, and appears on the back of the hoodie.

Look for the Vince Staples x Converse collection to launch January 25th at converse.com and select retailers.
