Converse has joined forces with BornxRaised for the first time, and the choice of silhouette was a no-brainer for Spanto, the co-founder of the L.A.-based streetwear brand. He grew up wearing the Jack Purcell, an alternative to the Chuck Taylor "on the turf" of Venice, California, the home of BornxRaised. The brand's take on the iconic sneaker sees the addition of a unique hair-on-hide upper, finished in black or camel and reminiscent of a fresh buzz cut. BornxRaised branding on the heel and "On the Turf" embroidery on the tongue round out the details. The kicks will be available through a two-day BornxRaised pop-up shop, launching February 2nd at the famed Venice Boardwalk (1313 Oceanfront Walk). A global launch at converse.com and select retailers follows on February 3rd.
