Sand Bodecker, the mastermind behind Nike SB's rise in the early 2000s, has long maintained a collaboration wish list confined to just two brands. One of those joint ventures has finally come to fruition, with Nike SB set to launch a collaborative release with Antihero, who shares team riders Brian Anderson, Grant Taylor and Daan ven der Linden with the Swoosh. Speaking of Anderson, he was the de facto art director of the project, overseeing a delineation of roles between the two brands: Nike SB would produce products that Antihero did not, like footwear and cut-and-sew apparel, and Anderson would connect the dots between the two brands.
The individual pieces take the form of a workwear-inspired hooded jacket and backpack, as well as a hybridized football-hockey style jersey. On the footwear side, there's a Nike SB Zoom Dunk High Pro and Nike SB Zoom Blazer Low, the former embellished with Brian Anderson's initials and the latter with Grant Taylor's initials.
Look for the goods to drop March 16th at select Nike SB retailers, followed by a March 19th launch on nike.com.
