Two weeks ago, Apple debuted "Welcome Home," a short promotional film that does what the best advertisements have always done, which is to blend commerce with art. Directed by Spike Jonze and starring FKA Twigs, the clip was ostensibly made to sell Apple's HomePod speaker, but it's really a showcase for Twigs' fluid dancing ability and Spike Jonze's singular creative vision, not to mention the supremely catchy soundtrack, courtesy of Anderson .Paak. Adweek has released a mini-doc that takes us behind the scenes of "Welcome Home," and the making-of is just as captivating as the finished product. It's no surprise that a massive amount of work went into the production, from the choreography to the construction of the set design. What's most surprising is the amount of practical effects that went into the magically malleable apartment. Head over to Adweek now to watch the short film.
