Back in 1982, New Balance launched its game-changing 990 silhouette, hailed at the time as the most innovative runner on the market, thanks to a build that delivered stability, cushioning and flexibility, all in one shoe. The 990 was also the first athletic shoe to debut at a $100 price point, and went on to smash sales projections despite the prohibitive price. In honor of its heritage, New Balance is set to release a "1982" 990v4, done up in a classic grey colorway and limited to just 1,500 pairs worldwide. The made-in-USA kicks will retail for its original 1982 price of $100. The release date is set to for April 14th, with the stateside retailers carrying the "1982" 990v4 listed below.
