Originally released in 2006 to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina relief, the Air Jordan 3 "Katrina" is finally set to launch at retail. Word on the street is that the shoe will have a general release on May 12, but a lucky few will get an early crack this weekend, via a block party hosted by Sneaker Politics and Jordan Brand. The event will take place this Saturday, April 28th, at the retailer's hometown of New Orleans, with attendees getting the chance to purchase the highly anticipated kicks two weeks early. Follow Sneaker Politics through their various social media channels for details, which will be announced throughout the week.
