Today finds adidas launching the AM4NYC, created at the brand's digital and automated SPEEDFACTORY facilities in Atlanta. The specialized running shoe was made for New York City, featuring the sort of advanced agility and stability needed to round corners and change directions with speed. The shoe's design was developed from analysis of aggregated sport science data, as well as feedback from local expert runners. The data was then used to assemble the shoe at SPEEDFACTORY Atlanta, resulting in an upper with varying stretch and stiffness for a precise fit, as well as maximum lockdown at the heel and midfoot. Performance benefits include a floating Torsion bar for effortless movement , BOOST for energy return and fused bonding construction to eliminate the need for adhesives.

To coincide with the launch, adidas has set up a SPEEDFACTORY Lab Experience in Brooklyn, allowing visitors to receive custom private footscan data to learn more about their perfect fit. They can then take the AM4NYC on a test run through an interactive experience.

The AM4NYC is available now at adidas' New York City 5th Avenue flagship store, (565 5th Avenue), the brand concept store on Broadway (610 Broadway), and select retailers.
