Nike's latest hybrid model draws on two silhouettes originally released in 1998: the Nike Air Max Plus runner and the Nike Mercurial soccer cleat, both of which went on to amass a cult following in Western Europe. They've since been fused to create the Mercurial TN, featuring a sleek, minimalist upper coated with a TPU translucent skin, sans the signature "fingers" found on the traditional TN. Iridescent shanks and oversized logos add to the unique look. The Mercurial TN drops May 17th in black and orange colorways, available through nike.com and Footlocker UK and EU. A third white colorway, inspired by one of the Mercurial colorways that athletes will wear on the pitch at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, releases on May 31.
