The North Face Debuts a Pilot Program Offering Refurbished Apparel

Revival of the fittest

The North Face has kicked off a new program through which the outdoor brand will sell refurbished apparel at more affordable prices, while also reducing the overall environmental impact of those products. According to an EPA-confirmed statistic, 85% of textiles produced annually ends up in landfills each year; The North Face Renewed will enable consumers to make the shift from "a traditional, linear model to a circular one where people share, resell, repair and recycle clothing." All "Renewed" items are sourced from returned, defective or damaged apparel, after which they're thoroughly inspected, cleaned and refurbished to The North Face performance standards.
