G-SHOCK and ASICS Tiger have joined forces on a joint venture that highlights two of the brands' flagship products, the GBA800AT-1A watch and GEL-Mai knit shoe. The latter is built with the sort of durable functionality typically associated with G-SHOCK, featuring leather accents for wear resistance, as well as a water-repellent PlasmaGuard on the pro-knit construction. Both the black and white colorways are finished with the shoe's signature asymmetrical lacing system up top and fuzeGEL technology underfoot for enhanced cushioning.
The kicks are joined by the special-edition G-SHOCK GBA-800, featuring Bluetooth smartphone connection, an interval timer and LED light. The built-in step tracker function can be used to records daily workouts and calorie consumption, alongside other health metrics.
Look for the collaboration to launch June 22nd in Japan and June 30th through select retailers in Europe. Availability follows in North America in July.
