Nissan is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the GT-R by linking up for the first time with Italdesign, also celebrating its gold anniversary. The result of their first collaboration is nothing short of stunning, the Nissan GT-R50 by Italdesign, based on a production 2018 Nissan GT-R NISMO. The Italian design house lowered the roofline by 54 millimeters and added metallic gold elements throughout the exterior, contrasted against the Liquid Kinetic Gray paint job. There are also thinner LED headlights, "samurai blade" cooling outlets behind the front wheels, and a reshaped hood with a power bulge. Open the hood and you'll encounter a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 generating 720 horsepower, thanks in part to the addition of GT3-spec turbochargers.
As a prototype, it's more than likely the car will never make it to production. Check out detailed looks below.
