In creating the new Zoom Pegasus Turbo, Nike borrowed a page from two of its marathon running shoes, the Zoom VaporFly Elite and Zoom VaporFly 4%. The hallmark feature of both, now used on the new silhouette, is ZoomX cushioning, featuring 85% energy return. The shoe's upper is constructed from a seamless translucent mesh, supported by integrated Flywire cables for a lockdown fit and visually enhanced with a thick racing stripe that runs down the center, from the top of the tongue to the toe. Underfoot, the ZoomX foam is supplemented by a layer of Nike React foam for added durability and stability.

Through the Nike and NRC apps, NikePlus members in the U.S., China, Japan, Germany, U.K. and Brazil can purchase the Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo early on July 19. In France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, the shoe will be available exclusively through the Nike app. A global release date is set for August 2nd through and select retailers.
