Nike designers were intent on creating a tennis shoe that meets the needs of the modern tennis game, a sport that's currently undergoing an increasingly athletic evolution. The result is the NikeCourt Air Zoom Zero, the first Nike tennis shoe to feature full-length Zoom Air, specially articulated for tennis-specific movements. There's also an internal bootie for a snug, lock-down fit, and a rubber outsole with higher-density areas for increased durability. Black and white introductory colorways feature "New York" signed in different languages on the minimalist upper, a nod to the upcoming U.S. Open tournament. The kicks hit stores and nike.com on July 19.
