A seminal development in Nike history can be traced back to legendary designer Tinker Hatfield, who introduced visible Air to the world through the launch of the Air Max 1. According to Tinker, it was his background as an architect that led him to take inspiration from the Centre Pompidou in Paris, a structure famous for its inside-out construction.

The upcoming "Centre Pompidou" pack -- featuring a Pure Platinum/Royal Blue/White colorway twinned with a second pair in Wolf Grey/Black/Cool Grey -- is highlighted by printed lines on the paneled upper, taking inspiration from the skeletal structure of its namesake building. Look for the kicks to hit stores in the coming weeks.
