DJI has taken the wraps off the successor to its Mavic Pro drone, releasing in two different iterations, the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom. The former houses a Hasselblad-designed camera and a 20 MP 1-inch CMOS sensor, while the slightly more affordable Mavic 2 Zoom features 2x optical zoom and a smaller 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor.
Packing 8GB of onboard storage, both models shoot can shoot 4K footage at up to 100 megabits per second. Top flight speed is clocked at 44 miles per hour, and flight time is rated at 31 minutes on a full charge. Each Mavic 2 is equipped with 10 sensors so it can fly around obstacles. Additionally, a new image transmission system called OcuSync 2.0 can beam a live 1080p view from five miles away.
The 2 Pro retails for $1,499 and the 2 Zoom for $1,249. They're available for purchase now at dji.com.
