Sony is following in the footsteps of Nintendo, who's had success releasing miniaturized NES Classic and SNES Classic consoles. Sony has revived its original gaming console with the upcoming launch of the PlayStation Classic, retailing for $100 and scheduled to hit stores on December 3 for $100. It's roughly 45% smaller than the original and arrives with an HDMI port and wired two controllers. The system will come preloaded with 20 games, including Final Fantasy VII, Tekken 3, Wild Arms, Ridge Racer Type 4, and Jumping Flash. The exact lineup for the US market isn't yet known.
