Palm is back with a new device that doesn't replace your current smartphone. Rather, the credit card-sized device is meant to be a stand-in, similar to a smartwatch. Exclusive to Verizon, the new Palm sports a 3.3-inch display -- 0.2-inches smaller than the original iPhone -- with 3GB of RAM, a Snapdragon 435 processor and 32GB storage. There's a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter, along with a single USB-C port. And even though the device has retro dimensions, they don't include a headphone jack. Headphones connect through Bluetooth instead.
Even though it runs Android 8.1, you can pair the Palm with either iPhone or an Android device alike. An 800mAh battery delivers 8 hours of use on a full charge. Verizon customers can expect to shell out $349 for device, along with a $10 added to their monthly bill. Look for the new Palm to launch in November.
