Jordan Brand has officially unveiled its 2019 Chinese New Year collection which will consist of the Air Jordan 12 and Air Jordan 33 models. Inspired by ancient Chinese patchwork and quilting known as bai jia yi (百家衣), the duo of sneakers both prominently showcase this art form.

To celebrate the Year of the Pig, both pairs feature a black, white and gold color base and incorporate the patchwork elements that are revealed in unique ways through wear (or with an X-ACTO knife). A digitized "23" is meant to resemble the Pig Zodiac sign while all 12 of the Zodiac animals are incorporated into the patchwork.

The AJ12 and AJ33 from the 2019 Chinese New Year collection are now available in China and will be available at select retailers in North America and on the SNKRS app on February 5.
