The 2020 Toyota Supra finally made its global debut yesterday at the Detroit Auto Show. After being leaked by Toyota Mexico last week, the fifth-generation GR Supra is the first new Supra in the U.S. in 21 years.
Developed by Toyota GAZOO Racing, it will arrive this summer in two grades: 3.0 and 3.0 Premium. A Launch Edition will also be offered. Housing a 3.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine, the car will produce 335 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. torque with an 8-speed paddle shift automatic transmission. Toyota projects a 0-60 time of 4.1 seconds. Aesthetically we can see design cues from the 1967 2000 GT and the Mk IV generation of Supras.
1,500 Launch Edition models will be sold for $55,250 while the base grade will retail at $49,990. You can learn more at toyota.com.
