Ralph Lauren will launch its new app-controlled heated jacket technology, RL Heat, next week with the release of the Polo 11 and Glacier jackets.

Drawing design cues from the 1997 white, down-filled winter jacket inspired by space suits, the new release is an homage to that piece but with modern upgrades. The jacket is coated in a water-repellent ripstop while the hand-warmer kangaroo pocket is lined in brushed tricot fabric. RL Heat technology is introduced on the interior of the jacket as a heat-dispersing silver lining powered by a co-branded Mophie battery. You can control the temperature through the RL Heat app via smartphone Bluetooth.

Additionally, Ralph Lauren will also launch the technology in Glacier jackets offered in Silver and Navy. Look for the Polo 11 jacket to launch exclusively on the POLO app on January 24 with the Glacier jackets launching on the same day in-store.

Release Date: 1/24/19 (Thursday)
