News from the weekend include many upcoming Nike releases, a new adidas Originals silhouette for its Consortium lineup and numerous Spring/Summer 2019 lookbooks.
Nike Zoom Rookie "Galaxy"
Originally released back in 2012 alongside the Nike Air Foamposite One, the Zoom Rookie basketball sneaker will make its return in "Galaxy" form this weekend to the tune of $220. The space theme includes the galactic print on the upper and spacesuit-inspired pull tabs on the tongue and heel. You can purchase the sneakers on SNKRS come February 22.
Nike Free Run 2 Doernbecher Freestyle "Mackenzie Short"
Celebrating the 15th anniversary of its Doernbecher Freestyle program, Nike has been bringing back silhouettes from the archives. Designed by Mackenzie Short in 2011, this iteration of the Free Run 2 will once again be available on February 20 for $100 on SNKRS and look to inspire another generation of kids.
Nike Introduces New ISPA React Low Runner
With the popularity of its React Element series, Nike has introduced a new ISPA React Low Runner in three colorways: Black, Velvet Brown and Summit White. React cushioning is once again the main component but the upper has been switched up to a more technical build with tape on top of the mesh construction and a sideways lacing system. All three will release on SNKRS on February 23 for $160 each.
Air Jordan 1 High "Couture"
Inspired by the "Banned" colorway and high fashion community, Jordan Brand will release a "Couture" Air Jordan 1 High on February 23. Available on the SNKRS app for $175, this iteration sees a black upper covered in a red stripe with a beige outsole.
adidas Originals Debuts ZX 1000C
adidas Originals introduces the latest model in its Consortium line-up, the ZX 1000C. Successor to the ZX 9000 model, the latest member in the ZX family maintains the Torsion system and has webbed Three Stripes along with TPU ghilly and heel counter finished off with mesh underlays and suede overlays. It will release on February 23 for $159.95.
Patta Spring/Summer 2019
Shot by photographer Menno Kok, Patta has revealed its Spring/Summer 2019 lookbook. Filled with a variety of typography for its logo, the collection contains a multitude of long-sleeves, hoodies, crewnecks, tess and pants. You can head over to patta.nl on February 22 to purchase.
Palace Spring/Summer 2019
Palace released its Spring/Summer 2019 lookbook over the weekend. It featured Palace skate team members Lucien Clarke and Rory Milanes as well as musician Bonnie Prince Billy. Juergen Teller shot the lookbook in a variety of locations which spanned from a creepy doll shop to a cave. You can purchase pieces from the collection starting on February 22 online and in-store in London and New York.
