Berlin's OVERKILL is no stranger to creating out-of-the-park collaborations with adidas as evidenced by the taxi-inspired EQT Racing 93 they did in 2015 and the "Firestarter" NMD from 2016. Now, the brand has reconnected with adidas Consortium on a new offering, the ZX 10.000 C "Game Overkill."
Inspired by the '90s, the team at OVERKILL credits that decade for shaping them into the individuals they are today. The trip down memory lane includes console gaming and electronic music but the final design was based off a handheld pocket console and that's where "Game Overkill" comes from.
Grey is used as the base of the shoe to pay homage to the console colors of the times. Pinstripe Mesh on the toe box is paired with colored suede panels while a green sockliner symbolizes the screen. Eyelets are colored red to indicate battery level and various buttons can be found in the heel and Stripes areas.
You can purchase the OVERKILL x adidas Consortium ZX 10.000 C "Game Overkill" on April 6 in-store and online at overkillshop.com.
