KAWS 'HOLIDAY' at Something in the Water
KAWS' HOLIDAY inflatable has been busy touring Asia earlier this year with appearances in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Over the weekend, the artist brought out the Companion during Pharrell's Something in the Water festival in Virginia Beach.
Extra Butter x PENSOLE Design Academy x Make-A-Wish x adidas Originals
New York's Extra Butter partnered up with the Pensole Design Academy and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to launch Wish Kicks. A campaign is trying to raise $90,000 to fund nine new wishes through the release of sneakers designed by leukemia survivor Tunav Nanda. adidas Originals sponsored the sneakers and helped Tuvan create the BDA "Before, During, and After" fighting cancer. Gosha Rubchinskiy x Russell Athletic "Rassvet Athletic" Collection
Gosha has teamed up with Russell Athletic for a Spring/Summer 2019 collection. Named Rassvet Athletic after the Russian word for "sunrise" which is a reflection of Rubchinskiy trying to breathe new life into the youth culture in his native country. Graphics are kept to a minimum on most the pieces as the classic RA logo features the new branding and oversized fits are plentiful, take a look below.
MR PORTER Announces Japan Edit Collection
MR PORTER has teamed up with 15 Japanese designers to present a Japan Edit collection. Inspired by the country's history and style, over 100 pieces of clothes and accessories will be released. Designers include KAPITAL, Needles, AMBUSH, NEIGHBORHOOD and TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist. The collection will release exclusively on mrporter.com on May 6.
Onitsuka Tiger x 'Street Fighter V'
Celebrating the Street Fighter series, Onitsuka Tiger has created a Chun-Li sneaker using the Mexico 66 SD silhouette. It's covered in the fighter's blue and yellow outfit colors and also features dragon graphics on the lateral side. Only 5,000 pairs will be released but character costumes in the game will be available to a larger audience. Pick them up on July 29 at onitsukatiger.com.
BILLY's x Vans Era 1966
BILLY's has teamed up with Vans once again. This time the duo have created four "mix and match" versions of the Era 1966 silhouette. Canvas and velvet cover the upper with the classic white rubber outsole rounding out the designs. You can pick these up in Ebony/Paradise Green, Rumba Red/Blue Sapphire, Breen/Tango Red and Parisian Night/Multi for about $75 each on BILLY's web store.
