Rihanna is making history on all sorts of levels with the shift from PUMA to her new Fenty house under the LVMH umbrella.

Robyn Rihanna Fenty will become not only the first woman to ever create an original brand for LVMH but the first woman of color at the top of an LVMH maison as well. The last time a new house was created by the group was back in 1987 for Christian Lacroix.

Fenty Maison will be based in Paris and the Greek key logo is done in white lettering with a blue background. LVMH said the ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories from the new Fenty line "is centered on Rihanna, developed by her, and takes shape with her vision."

Rihanna has this to say to The New York Times:

"Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us. Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits. I couldn't imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I'm ready for the world to see what we have built together."
