The duo have cultivated a capsule collection centered around the Air Jordan 7 model with a matching track suit, shorts, tee and bucket hat. Patta's Guillaume Schmidt and Vincent van de Waal chose the AJ7 because of it's '92 Olympics history and the nostalgia and influence that time period had on them.
Guillaume says, “It was a golden era for hip-hop. It was a big time for me, a lot of very important albums that I carry with me still came out between '92 and '96. And aesthetically, those years had such strong, colorful and connected relationship to black empowerment. The VII also has a reference to Africa." Van de Waal adds, "“It is my all-time favorite.” The "TEAM PATTA" logo makes its way onto the collection to bring together the influence of the old school patterns as well as the Patta brand.
You can pick up the full collection on May 18 at Patta's Amsterdam and London locations and patta.nl. A global release will follow on June 15 via retailers, SNKRS and SNEAKRS.
