Following a collaboration capsule collection featuring the Air Max 1 and Zoom Spiridon last year, Nike and Dutch artist Piet Parra return for a SB collection featuring the Dunk Low and Blazer Low.
A skater himself, Parra had to balance the challenge of white shoes (which he always skates in) versus his colorful patterns which fans have come to recognize and expect. The final product was a white base on the Dunk Low OG and Blazer Low GT with a multi-layered Swoosh finished in pink chenille. His unique pattern can be found on the sockliner, heel tab and lace tips. Additionally, a clothing capsule was also created.
"I knew I wanted to make a shoe that I would skate in, but also appeal to the people that are more into my use of color and drawings. That’s how I got to the colorful, layered Swoosh and the crazy pattern on the inside of the shoe," Parra mentions.
You can pick up the Nike SB x Parra collection on July 26 via skate shops and on July 27 via SNKRS app. The Dunk Low will retail for $100 while the Blazer Low will cost $85. To learn more, visit nikesb.com.
