Today, Nike announced the latest cushioning system to join its family, Joyride.

Nike Joyride was created to absorb underfoot impact in a light, energy-returning manner while forming to each individual's foot. The system is comprised of thousands of TPE beads (copolymer of plastic and rubber) which are grouped into "zonally-tuned pods" to allow the foam to expand in all directions. Nike calls this "multi-dimensional displacement."

If you've ever wanted to run on bubbles, this is exactly how it's supposed to feel. The first sneaker to release with the new technology will be the Nike Joyride Run Flyknit which released to Nike Members today. A global release will take place on August 15. Additionally, the Joyride family will also include the Joyride NSW with a tuned two-pod format (September 1), Joyride NSW Setter with a three-pod tune (August 15), Joyride NSW Optik for women (August 15) and Joyride Kids Nova for the children (August 15).

Take a look at the new technology below. In related news, the Air Jordan 1 "Defiant" is releasing this weekend.

Release Dates:
8/15/19 (Thursday) - Joyride Run Flyknit, Joyride NSW Setter, Joyride NSW Optik, Joyride Kids Nova
