After four years of R&D, the duo have created a lightweight and eco-friendly jacket using Spiber's new Brewed Protein synthetic silk material for the outer layer while the middle layer features breathable and waterproof laminate forms. Finally, TNF's Summit Series proven 900 fill power CLEANDOWN makes up the heat retaining interior.
The Moon Gold colorway of the jacket is paired with an image of the Earth on the interior and "The North Face Sp." branding on the sleeves. With only 50 pieces available, the only way to purchase one is to enter the lottery via sp.spider.jp. Entries will close on October 31 and winner's should be ready to shell out ¥150,000 JPY, about $1,410 USD and be able to pick up the jacket in Japan at The North Face LAB in Shibuya, Tokyo.
In related news, The North Face recently opened a brand new store in SoHo, New York.
