Over the weekend, Jordan Brand unveiled the all-new Air Jordan 34 at a launch event in Harlem with newly signed athlete Zion Williamson.

The future of the Air Jordan line is one of their lightest sneakers ever, weighing in at only 13.1 oz. for a size 9. This is achieved by stripping away unneeded materials on the upper and introducing the Jordan Eclipse Plate in the middle of the outsole. The Eclipse Plate is comprised of two Pebax pieces and a forefoot Zoom Air unit. Together these pieces allow for more precise cuts and more explosive moves while maintaining stability and lateral support.

VP of Jordan Brand Footwear Gentry Humphrey had this to say about the new sneaker:

"The Air Jordan signature game shoes have become the most influential line of performance footwear in basketball history. By introducing new, proprietary innovation with the XXXIV, the line's game-changing legacy is extended to a new generation of athletes."

Detailing on the Air Jordan 34 is well thought out - the vamp features the number 23 in Morse code while the outsole sports “J4 – 34, 2.89-2019” which is a nod to the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 4. Additionally, every colorway will have different "discoverable marks."

You can pick up the new Air Jordan 34 on September 25 in "Blue Void" for $180 via SNKRS app. In related news, the Nike Kobe AD NXT FF "Off Noir/Clear" is releasing this week.
