Nike is paying tribute to its original Blue Ribbon Sports heritage by going on a cross-country tour in a Volkswagen I.D. BUZZ Cargo.
The car is an all-electric modern day version of the one that Jeff Johnson drove around Los Angeles in the '60s to deliver product. In addition to learning about the history of the brand, fans will also be able to donate sneakers to Reuse-A-Shoe and purchase limited edition BRS gear at the mobile pop-up. Sneakers that will be available include a Nike Cortez with the iconic orange color palette on the heel and a Nike Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2, limited to 3107 pairs, the address of the first BRS location in Santa Monica.
The Blue Ribbon Sports: Coast to Coast tour will begin on October 5 in Santa Monica before making stops in Chicago on October 12 and New York on October 15. Stay up to date with releases and more via the SNKRS app.
