adidas has just unveiled its Campus 80s MakerLab in collaboration with designers Helen Kirkum, Alex Nash and Shun Hirose.
Through this medium, the trio have reworked the classic silhouette from the Three Stripes and will be offering the product to consumers through a StockX IPO where the buyers will set the prices for each pair. 333 pairs of each sneaker launches today on StockX IPO and will last for three days, ending on October 18. The highest bidders will be able to secure their pairs at the "clearing price" (lowest winning bid) for their size and design.
The 10-day design to production process was documented as well. All three designers were given unlimited resources at the adidas HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany and personally oversaw production in Vietnam. You can watch the video below.
