Audemars Piguet is celebrating Chinese New Year with a limited edition watch release.

For the first time ever, the brand has crafted a titanium Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar. Set to release exclusively in China, the watch was co-designed by AP enthusiast Austen Chu who goes by Horoloupe on Instagram. A 41mm titanium case houses the heart of the watch, a Calibre 5134 which includes the week indicator, something its predecessor, the Calibre 2020, didn't have.

This specific piece, in the spirit of Chinese New Year and customs, features a red seconds indicator hand and red "31" on the day dial. Also, in addition to the titanium band, an interchangeable red rubber strap and grey alligator strap with red stitching is also offered. Finally, this limited edition will be a China exclusive and only have 88 pieces made, a lucky number in Chinese culture.

We wish everyone the best of luck in obtaining one of these gems. Check out all our other Chinese New Year news as well as we're one week away from the holiday.
