Founded in 2015 by designer Shinichiro Ishibashi, Japanese label KUON means "eternity," "remote past or future," and "permanence." Through a design philosophy of addressing social agenda through design, the brand challenges the norms on vintage textile.
For Fall/Winter 2020, KUON has taken inspiration from Englishman William Adams, who settled in Japan during the Edo period. Workwear pieces feature heavily patterned designs, denim patchwork and more.
