Two years ago, on March 26, 2018 (Air Max Day), Sean Wotherspoon's Nike Air Max 1/97 SW released and brought along with it a new found appreciation for corduroy.
Now, the Round Two co-founder has teamed up with atmos and ASICS to create a GEL-Lyte III silhouette with the same bright colors, corduroy love and Velcro patches. A sample of the sneaker has been shown off on the Round Two Hollywood Instagram account and will be given away through a creative contest requiring participants to draw (in any medium they choose) a portrait of Sean, Luke and Chris, the co-founders, in front of any Round Two location.
It is unknown when a public release will happen, if one will, so stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, the contest rules are listed below and all submissions must be turned in before March 21. In related news, Nike announced its Air Max Day lineup last week.
