California-based manufacturer Carbon specializes in bringing products to market through 3D printing - they're the ones who provide the sole units in adidas' 4D technology - and have joined in the battle against COVID-19.
Using its in-house resources, the company has started to produce face shields and lattice swabs. The face shields have already been deployed in the Bay Area while the lattice swabs are currently being reviewed to meet federal regulations. Their website has also provided instructions on how to produce the face shields if you have the tools to do so.
Carbon is one of many companies currently trying to fight the spread of COVID-19 and helping medical professionals. Earlier today, Sony announced a $100 million relief fund to aid not only medical professionals but also children and creatives.
