Last night, the long awaited documentary for the '97-98 Chicago Bulls championship season, The Last Dance, premiered on ESPN. Along with the first two episodes airing, Nike shock dropped the upcoming Air Jordan 5 "Fire Red" retro with Nike Air on the back.

The sneakers debuted in 1990 and were worn by MJ on March 28, 1990 against the Cleveland Cavaliers when His Airness dropped 69 points to give the Bulls an OT win. Manga and anime fans will be the first to tell you that Kaede Rukawa wore the sneakers throughout the iconic Slam Dunk for Shohoku High School. Nike is bringing back the Nike Air on the heel panel as well as on the insoles.

Fans can purchase the iconic colorway on May 2 for $200 via SNKRS app. While you wait, check out a first look at the Dior x Air Jordan collection.
