Created to break running barriers, the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly NEXT% will soon be available to the masses.
First seen on the feet of Eliud Kipchoge as he ran a sub-2 marathon in 2019 with a time of 1:59:40, the prototype sneaker has now been finalized for all running enthusiasts. The runner combines Nike ZoomX cushioning with Nike Zoom Air pods in the forefoot while a full-length carbon fiber plate runs through. Together those three components provide optimal energy return, cushioning and smooth transition. A light Atomknit upper finishes off the design to reduce weight.
You can purchase the launch version in black, lime blast and valerian blue on June 2 if you are a Nike member. A global launch is set to take place on July 2. In related news, Nike is rolling out its Space Hippie collection next month as well.
