To some Jordan fans, the Air Jordan 11 silhouette is the ultimate sneaker. Not only did it have icy soles and patent leather on the upper, but it was the shoe that told the world that MJ had come out of retirement and was back, leading the Bulls to the '96 NBA Championship.
The iconic "Bred" XI's got a low-top retro back in 2015 and the "Concord" XI's got their low-top retro back in 2014, but Nike has decided to release a new remix. This time around, the "Concord" upper and "Bred" outsole come together to form the "Gym Red" Air Jordan 11 Low. A mash-up of history, this pair will come with patent leather upper, soft sock liner and carbon fiber shark plate on the underside that we've come to expect. It will also arrive in packaging from the original '96 release; the first time a low model will get this treatment.
Fans can purchase the Air Jordan 11 Low "Gym Red" for $185 on June 27 via SNKRS app. Big kids, little kids and toddler sizing will also be available for $140, $80 and $60 respectively. In related news, the Air Jordan 5 celebrated its 30th anniversary this weekend with a "Grape/Fire Red/Metallic Silver" mashup.
