For Fall/Winter 2020, Japanese label Sasquatchfabrix. presents its "WakonYosai" collection lookbook.
The naming of the selection directly translates to the pieces. Simply put, "wakon yosai" means to adopt Western arts while still keeping Japanese tradition and blending the two together seamlessly.
To achieve that in the collection, we can see various influences from Americana like the cowboy hat, coats with exaggerated shoulders, fur coats, cropped pants and pieces with leather straps dangling. In terms of color, the tops and bottoms are kept fairly muted with browns, blacks, dark reds, grey and occasional blue, pink, green, orange and bright red for detailing.
